Every installation, done right.

Every Helm installation includes the full scope of work below, scaled to your vessel's size and complexity.

01

Site survey and boat audit

We assess your vessel's electrical systems, mounting locations, and existing network setup before we touch anything. Every installation starts with a plan.

02

Optimal hardware mounting

Your Starlink dish is mounted in the best position for signal strength and aesthetics, whether that's a hardtop, flybridge, arch, or radar pole. Marine-grade waterproofing and vibration damping included.

03

Clean cable routing

Every cable run is routed cleanly through bulkheads and hidden from view. Color-matched ties, professional-grade fastening, and zero visible wires on deck.

04

Full network integration and device setup

Starlink connects to your boat's existing systems so every device on board has access. We optimize your onboard network, configure mesh Wi-Fi, and set up the Starlink app on your phone.

05

End-to-end system testing

Full speed, coverage, and reliability testing across the vessel. We verify every connection point and make sure the system performs exactly as it should.

06

Owner walkthrough and handoff

We walk you through everything: how to manage the system, what to expect underway, and how to reach us if you ever need anything. The job isn't done until you're comfortable.

Common questions

No. You can purchase the kit on your own, or we can source it for you and include it as part of the installation. Either way, we handle the full setup.
Most installations are completed in a single visit. Boats in the 30–42 ft range typically take 2.5 to 4 hours. Larger or more complex vessels in the 61–80+ ft range may take 6 to 10 hours, sometimes split over two days to maintain our quality standard.
Our installations are performed to the highest industry standards using marine-grade hardware and methods. We do not modify core structural or mechanical systems. If you have specific warranty concerns, we are happy to review them with you during the audit.
We provide ongoing support for every installation we complete. Whether it is a quick question, a firmware update, or a system check, we are here.
We serve boaters and marinas across Connecticut, from Greenwich to Mystic.
